Completed: June 2020
Location: Ector County, Texas
Scale: 180 MWac

In June 2020, 174 Power Global completed the construction and commissioning of a 180MWac solar facility in Ector County, on approximately 1,200 acres of private land (owned by the Watt family) to bring clean renewable energy to the great state of Texas. Oberon has contracted a PPA under an energy hedge structure with a leading financial institution. More than 560,000 Q CELLS modules were installed on the project site, enough power more than 30,000 homes annually.

Chariot Energy, our subsidiary, will also purchase energy from Oberon Solar. This gives us the opportunity to take full advantage of the value chain, offering Chariot Energy customers 100% renewable energy, without the premium.

In Total

  • 560,000 – The number of Hanwha Q Cells modules that will be installed on the project site
  • 180 megawatts – How much electricity the power plant, which was completed in March 2020, will generate
